Aliso Viejo Real Estate includes some of the highest quality properties in America.  The City of Aliso Viejo is just the kind of city with Aliso Viejo real estate and neighborhoods that YOU would create, in South Orange County, California, if someone gave you the chance.  The city of Aliso Viejo is blessed with lush hillside and valley terrain offering terrific scenic views of mountains, streams, and city lights.  Aliso Viejo city parks number an amazing 23 in a city area of only 10 square miles.

Why so much recreational space?  Mostly because before Aliso Viejo became a city it was administered from 1979 to 2001 by a powerful Aliso Viejo community association (949 362-5890) which still functions today, emphasizing many programs for the youth of the community.  It says about itself, “The Association owns and manages the parks and greenbelts in the community (excluding Iglesia Park), provides architectural review and maintains landscaped slopes and parkways associated with major and secondary thoroughfares in Aliso Viejo. Aliso Viejo California real estate lies mostly (map) in several verdant valleys between gently sloping coastal hills, giving the City of Aliso Viejo widely varied views capes.  Perhaps that is why real estate sales here have never slowed down; it is a city highly in demand by upwardly mobile real estate buyers.  And now that the new San Joaquin Hills Toll Road (73) touches Aliso Viejo, it takes only about ten minutes to reach Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, Newport Beach’s Fashion Island Shopping Center, Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza Shopping Center and major industries in the nearby 47-square-mile City of Irvine, which is the nation’s largest planned urban community.

Want golf?  The course at Aliso Viejo Golf Club is one of Orange County’s newest golf courses with a 27-hole layout considered one of the area’s finest.

Is ice-skating your thing?  You’re in heaven in Aliso Viejo.  The Aliso Viejo Ice Palace, says this about itself: “Our rink serves south Orange County with public skating sessions, freestyle skating, birthday parties, broom hockey, skating lessons, and a safe, competitive hockey program for both youths and adults. A full service snack bar is open daily, providing food and drinks for skaters and visitors.  Ultimate Skate & Hockey pro shop offers a full line of equipment and apparel for both figure skaters and hockey players, and is open 7 days a week.”

Aliso Viejo is also blessed with its own four-year University, and this is another factor that increases the worth of Aliso Viejo real estate.  The Soka University of America at Aliso Viejo is an independent, selective, four-year liberal arts college open to top students of every nationality and belief.  It lies on a beautiful 103-acre campus two miles from the Pacific Ocean.  It features a 9 to 1 student/teacher ratio and small seminar classes (average class size 16)

Soka University emphasizes comparative study of Eastern and Western perspectives across the liberal arts curriculum, with a Core Curriculum focusing on major issues of self, society and environment.  There is a required semester of internship/study abroad in the junior year.
 
SUA currently offers a B.A. in Liberal Arts, with concentrations in Humanities, International Studies, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. The uniqueness of the SUA approach lies in the comparative teaching of international perspectives, the Core Curriculum and Learning Clusters, and an emphasis on language, art, and culture.
